【语法提要】
1.be/get used to (doing)意为“习惯于（做）某事”，短语中的to是介词，其后不能用动词原形。该短语中be还可换成get或become。
例句：I’m used to going to school by bike.我习惯于骑自行车去上学。
2.because of意为“由于；因为”，是一个介词短语。
例句：We didn’t go swimming because of the rain.因为下雨，我们没去游泳。
3.run out意为“用尽；耗尽”,由“动词+副词”构成，不用于被动语态，以主动形式表示被动意义。
例句：Our time is running out.我们剩下的时间不多了。
4.mind
mind为动词，意为“介意；在乎”；后面可接动名词作宾语，但不能跟动词不定式。
例句：Would you mind parking your car there?你介意把车子停到那边吗？
5.give up
give up为“动词＋副词”结构的短语，意为“放弃”。
例句：He is a man who doesn’t give up easily.他是个不轻易放弃的人。
